Thanks!  I haven’t tried the story mode yet, but I played online after switching to DX12, and the game felt a lot more stable.  Still some occasional stuttering, but not as bad as before.

My decryption took 90 minutes.  Then I got the unexpected error, and an NVIDIA driver update took care of that.  Now I’m getting the stuttering.  I’m going to try switching to DX12 when I’m able to play again.  I’m chipping away at the issues, hopefully a helpful patch will be released soon too.  I’m excited to play…

I don’t actually play the game, nor have I tried to make a house in it (I stick to Sims 2), but I’d guess the side rail would probably snap to the house exterior instead of creating the back rail.  I don’t think you can have a railing right up against a wall like that.
