Where did you look?

Anyone who’s saying it’s worth 4 grand has never tried to sell one. They’re a tough sell. Plenty of “wow those are cool” but not a lot of “yeah, I’d buy one

Really nice first gens, or excellent condition second gen cars are starting to bring in some money now, but if you have an average one, good luck.

In what world? You can get complete engines for half that or less. I’ve got an intake on the wall and an intake just sitting outside...and one on the car. If they were worth a grand or even half that I’d have zero.

I mean, at least he still looks the same. He and McMurray just didn’t age.

YES

I only added the cam washers as a recommendation from Dynotronics - it seems like they’re likely more needed on a manual trans car. I did mine the same way to lock the crank, it worked fine to remove the bolt, but the steel was too thin and narrow and tore around the drilled holes.

I took mine all apart and added the friction washers on the cams, and replaced the ones on the crank. Clean clean clean - spray the threads in the cams with brake cleaner to get the oil out of them or, if you don’t torque the bolts until the next day the oil will seep out and get on the washer/mating surface.

My

...and I’m getting ready to put a Fusion 2.5 in a Mazda 6. Just got the crank bolt torqued yesterday. Good luck!

Sounds right for them.

Hello to everyone else in the area too.

A year and a half ago I bought a Lincoln LS. 2004, 132k miles, clean car, but had trans issues. Right at $1000. Met the guy close to my house, drove it, seemed alright. I went to pick up the car later, and heard a rattle when it started...VVT noise. So I’ve left it sitting, and am now finally going to tear down the

What’s better is the stock hood on those cars are aluminum, so they would’ve had to get an aftermarket steel one to make it rust

What aftermarket? There is none. But the 280hp that the second gen 3.9 puts out is pretty decent already. It moves that car quicker than you would think.

They also didn’t have a manual trans that bolted to the AJV8. The V6/Manual cars only sold a couple thousand for the 2, maybe 3 years they were produced. They just couldn’t justify designing and engineering a manual trans for the V8. The 5 speed in the V6 was dropped for the 2003 refresh as well, so all 03-06 LS were

To be fair, the auto they ended up using was still garbage.

I’d argue that the first generation was worse:

Advance auto because of the 30% off discount codes (should be TRT30), and others like $40 off orders over $100 (useful when buying a battery because they’re all $120+ now)

We’ve got a 2009 Colorado here at work...fan speed 3 doesn’t work, and smoke starts coming out from under the dash if it’s left on that. I’m not surprised at all about the fires.

I scrolled through these comments just to find mention of the Tempo. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.

I knew he was a hack, but when I watched his video on cleaning/washing catalytic converters
