Right, but those publications gave largely positive reviews despite what you call "major" bugs. So not sure why your copy (and Gamespot's, for that matter) was so much worse than everyone else's.

It's funny, I really do see this a lot, not just on games but on movies as well, slow pans always seem to stutter. To start with I thought it must be settings on my PS3 (24hz bluray play back, video settings blah blah...) or perhaps my tv had some post processing stuff, eventually I have just learned to live with it,

That game was awesome for PC at the time; I was never clear why it got rereleased on N64, with its focus on 3D everything. I remember spending many hours making my own maps with interesting puzzles and story elements; the first time I'd been able to do that with a game's editor.
