Ball joints and wheel bearings are absolutely considered normal maintenance.

As luck would have it, the hydrant went dry. The hose went limp from the lack of pressure. The firefighters looked at each other in dismay, for there was nothing more that could be done.

I don’t think anyone buying these behemoths are all that concerned about fuel economy.

You’re missing low flying pelicans, pokemon go, inaccurate tire pressure gauges, and showing off for the kids who are filming you leave Cars & Coffee.

There is “heading in general direction” and then there is “driving at them down a residential road”

I don't understand why people are blaming tesla. Autopilot didn't kill him, his inability to look where he was going did.

This. I agree with everything on this list except for the Excursion. If you have the need, you can’t beat their value on the used market.

Alternatively, the 7.3L diesel version of the Excursion is a wonder. It is reliable, it tows and will run all day at highway speed while getting fuel mileage that no other SUV that size can match.

Kinja needs a downvote function. We are going to hear a similar comment that comes from certain Jalopnik commenters. It goes along the lines of, “If people would just pay more attention...if everyone was the expert driver I am.”

I made fun of this recall when I first heard of it...said it was a recall for dumb people. I have a 2015 SRT. I jumped in the car the other day with my gf, forgot something in the house, tossed it in “park” jumped out and ran back in the house, came back and jumped in the front seat and felt the car move a little.

I'm assuming that's because the Audi engages the electronic parking brake if you exit the vehicle without putting in park, just like the BMW shifter of the same/similar design.

Because there wasn’t anything legally wrong with the shifter. Sure, it was confusing, but that is relatively hard to legally compel a company to do a recall. If you used the shifter correctly, it operated correctly. So, the company recognizing that it was confusing, said “Hey guys, we’ll make it less confusing!” and

Poor chrysler.

Fuck you, Jim. You probably chuckled at all the Mustang memes on here, but then come charging into this comment section with completely baseless accusations of racism to some guy making an anecdotal observation? You’re the dick.

Considering buying an RX now to give me a comfort cushion of space as people will think I’m a vehicular maniac.

Didn’t work.

I think they’re showing the hand to give you an idea of the material. I’m sure the part goes behind the mirror as well, like on the other side.

I love that Tesla is willing to put in these features that they think are massively cool but which mainstream manufacturers know are also massively impractical, which is why we don’t see them except on Teslas.

They better be buying the cheapest, most economical, most reliable vehicle they can find. If Murica’ doesn’t tick all the boxes, fuck Murica’

I’m impressed there’s wifi under your rock.
