My experience is that a good set of all seasons is perfectly adequate for a normal car. (Key: Good all seasons. Cheap ones or ones designed without thought about snow are pretty bad.)

It's funny, because these are dirt cheap compared to other touring vehicles. I mean, yeah its a lot of money for a loaded up JKU rubicon, buts its pretty comparable to a 4Runner, or grand Cherokee and loads cheaper than an LR4 or land cruiser. In fact, they are great value, if you ask me.

That and the ridiculously solid resale value.
