I also don't know why this series doesn't get more play on Jalopnik, with people complaining all the time about tube frame cars and RWD V8 Camrys in NASCAR, all people need to do is look at this and BTCC if they want real racing with real cars.
I'm not a big Honda fan but I'm looking forward to seeing if they can kick as much BMW ass as the Chevy Cruzes did under factory backing. I'm not a big FWD fan either but this series is all the proof you need that FWD under the right setup and with the right drivers is just as good as RWD.
this. every goddamn taxi and gypsy cab driver in New York left foot brakes and I can't stand seeing the brake lights lit up and flashing on and off for no reason
I didn't think of the Taurus SHO, that's a good choice. my pick yesterday were the affordable V8 muscle cars we have like the Charger, Challenger, Camaro, Mustang, and someone shot me down that having affordable V8 cars was useless if gas costs so much, relegating V8s to luxury cars. well I still stand by that. any…
well judging by the latest episode of Top Gear UK, they seem a bit pertured that they won't be getting the nextgen Mustang GT with a V8, but rather only with the 2.0 Ecoboost.
yeah you and about 3 other people
while I think this new Cherokee looks incredibly weird, I'm also not in the market for this type of vehicle. I think this is aimed directly at the younger crossover buying market who will cross shop this with a Juke, or even something like a Range Rover Evoque if you're going a little more upscale. 99.9% of the people…
I actually don't mind the fender vents aside from them being stuck on upside down
I'm a fan of the latest model Saabs, the 9-5 and 9-3 included, in particular the styling of the 9-3 Turbo X was amazing. with that said, I like this a lot too. it's just too bad it all went down the way it did.
holy crap these things were expensive. factor in inflation and this car is closer to $80k or so in today's money, right?
the tailgate is that easy to remove? it's just attached to the truck but those plastic strings on both sides? I thought there'd be some kind of attachment at the pivot point
the copy editing on Jalopnik is about 100 times worse
I foresee that this engine will cost at LEAST $5,000 more than the 5.7 Hemi V8, which is no slouch at around 390hp/410tq. I like the idea of more diesels, but the price premium they require in all the cars they're offered, it's not worth it, whether it's a Golf or a BMW 3 series.
anyone else have any issues with icons at the top of the page and during compose windows not properly loading, and instead getting letters?
since this is favorite and not the best, I'd have to say it was Sakon Yamamoto. the guy was by far the worst driver I've ever seen in F1. it seriously felt like he finished every race dead last, down at least 5 or 6 laps, a couple of laps behind even his teammate.
I'm so glad that someone else pointed this out. Chrysler gets so much crap for using the 5 speed auto in the Charger, 300, Grand Cherokee, etc. But Mercedes can use that same exact 5 speed auto in their MOST EXPENSIVE cars, the 65 AMG cars, and not a single review ever bashes MB about it. I think even the Maybach 57…
or how about his modern day equivalent, Sakon Yamamoto
or they can have both on and we can have something to watch when Top Gear UK isn't on. without TGUS all we'd have is Motorweek and the god awful Fifth Gear
we also have Top Gear US which is light years ahead of this and easily the second best motoring show around
