oh I totally agree, you should have posted that to the guy on this post that posted a Grand Prix GXP as being a disgrace to Pontiac. I know all about the V8 W-bodies, I had an 07 Impala SS. the Grand Prix had a bunch of suspension differences that put it on a different level than the Impala and Monte Carlo. not the

the final generation Monte Carlo SS was actually a quick, FWD cruiser rather than the one you showed in the photo, which was the 3.8 V6 version.

They'd be insane to kill this car off, considering it's one of the world's greatest cars, at any price point. with that said, Honda and Toyota have in the past killed off their own world beaters for one reason or another, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. especially in this economy.

Heather, freakin, Mason

I'd take this beast

speaking of active paint, what of Nissan/Infiniti's self healing paint on their cars?

what was the car that the guy hit? is that and Olds Cutlass or a Monte Carlo?

correct. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_2000

S2000 is a type of touring car specification, used in BTCC and WTCC also. Ford races the Focus S2000 in WTCC and BTCC.

you know maybe it's just me but that CLS wagon (I'm not calling it shooting brake) reminds me a lot of the Dodge Magnum from that side angle.

ahh that dreaded 5 speed auto that Chrysler still hangs on to from the DaimlerChrysler days. it always seems to be the one main gripe reviewers have of all the cars that it's used in, Charger/300/Challenger and GC.

I remember that race, it was basically hurricane conditions at the start of that race, a huge chunk of the field was spinning off the track

#6 if I'm not mistaken, the Metro North trains here in NY have bars selling alcohol

sadly, I take public transit now, seeing as how I live in NYC. I'd actually love to live in a suburb somewhere where I could commute to work by car, preferably to an office building that has a free company parking lot. I do have a car, even though I live in this city, and thankfully I have a driveway to keep it in

since when was Birmingham, AL a major city?

this will certainly take some getting used to, but I'm sure before long we'll all be used to this and forget the old system even existed

I approve this message. I can't stand when some moron in a POS underpowered econobox merges onto the highway at like 20% throttle. you already drive a wimpy 100hp POS, at least use all of those horses when you're merging onto the highway instead of becoming essentially a stationary object

I will never understand the stupidity for what these guys do. I only know what I've seen in videos, but these guys "drift" their FWD sedans through traffic and around school buses, with no regard for anyone else. newsflash to these morons, you're not Tanner Faust or Ken Block and your Accord is not really drifting
