I’m just left stunned, wondering where the *noun* is at the end of that sentence.

Leading causes of death in Russia (per capita):
I believe it was Lenin who said, “Here, take this shit and you’ll be, like, wicked strong and able to run really fucking fast.”
BOOBS
“LOOK AT THOSE SLUTS! NAKED IN PUBLIC BUT THEY WANT US TO RESPECT THEM? FEMINISM IS A LIE!”
Yeah, I have a hard time seeing it as anything else too. It’s amazing how naked women can be used as a symbol for nearly anything. Thing is, no matter what the subject, it’s still objectification. This thing is especially dubious since it’s a white dude yelling “for our daughters!” LOL, wut?
But, what about that guy in the middle with the upper body that looks as though it has been bbq’d? Shouldn’t he be seeking medical attention, not looking to roast his nuts and wiener, too?
Maybe it’s just me, but somehow I get the sense that Trump fans aren’t going to recognize this as art/protest and simply will go “HURR DURR! LOOKIT THEM NAKED BROADS!!!”
I would imagine it’s so that police can verify that vehicles are following the new regulations if they’re ever stopped. If a police officer pulled over a car that was in-use they could verify that the driver has fingerprints on file, for example. The fine for not having the light would need to be pretty steep though…
If they want to run a taxi service they should follow the same rules as everyone else.
Tell me, in your extensive experience as a victim of sexual abuse, how did YOU handle it? Please enlighten us as to how people should behave in these circumstances.
The kid may not have even had parents. The whole thing was he often preyed on kids from broken or no homes. And of course he’d go to beloved football coach who is the BOSS of the man who did it before the cops, who kids are often afraid of.
Everyone else has covered how the kid would’ve gotten to Paterno, but I can possibly shed light on why someone would wait 40 years. Abuse, particularly sexual abuse in childhood, carries a lot of shame and pressure to keep silent, if only because you don’t know how to process it and you fear judgement. Couple that…
It also probably makes “zero sense” to you that Paterno would knowingly employ a child molester for decades, yet he did.
I assume this was a Second Mile kid, which likely means this kid had no family support system. Also going to the police is not exactly a welcoming thought to a victim of abuse, he likely didn’t think anyone would believe him except for a head coach who already knew.
Does it make MORE sense to lie about being sexually abused 40 years ago?
“makes zero sense.”
Avery is probably going to get out even though there’s a big chance he really is guilty, and poor Brendan is going to rot in prison, because apparently everyone has either forgotten he exists or no one cares.
