Amazon has been killing off bookstores since they made their books 30-40% cheaper. The app's not going to kill brick-and-mortar bookstores, but it might expedite the process if said brick-and-mortar stores can't figure out a way to be more competitive.

After trying both Amazon apps extensively today, I don't understand why they came out with a new price checker app because they both perform essentially the same functions.

Thanks for pointing this out. I have both installed but didn't realize the regular app could scan too. One less app to deal with.

I came here to say the same thing as you and everyone else. What a brilliant idea.

I'm going to send this to all the people who laugh at me when I eat a piece of cheese after eating too much sugar. I knew I wasn't the crazy one!

I looked into it and I don't think you can give Amazon Prime as a gift. You can only buy it for yourself and add family members (who live at the same address).

I've heard similar things from other users. I never thought I could justify even spending $1 on an app, but screen real estate is at a premium and some of the ads can be pretty annoying.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder how I ever lived without one. I'm not obsessed with using it all the time, but the times when I do want to use it, like looking up a price while I'm in a store or looking at a map, it's amazing.

I finally got an iPhone! It's not without its share of bugs but it's awesome nonetheless.

I was under the impression that once your gums recede, there's no getting them back. Is that not the case?

I'd be inclined to trust the scientific literature disproving it. Have you seen any that you'd care to share? Otherwise it's just one dentist's word against another.

I appreciate your response, but brushing CAN cause it. I'm fairly certain it's what caused mine.

Oh, I have another one. Sometimes my teeth still feel like they have a film on them after I brush. Mouthwash generally takes care of this, but not always. Not to be gross, but rubbing my t-shirt sleeve over my teeth gets rid of it. Anyone know what's up? And don't act like you've never rubbed your teeth with your

Does anyone else have receding gums?

I'm curious about this too. My bottom teeth look fractured in bright light, but you can't feel them at all. The dentist has never mentioned it and I always forget to ask.

During my first week of my first job out of college, I was supposed to get trained by a female coworker first thing in the morning. She was 15 minutes late for work and never came to my desk like she said she would. I checked in with her and she looked like she had been up all night partying. She said "Sorry, had a

Hmm, I guess I am using safely remove. I thought that was the same as ejecting. I usually "safely remove" my ipod, even after ejecting it in itunes, and it's always recognized when I plug it back in.

How about this one: When I put a microSD card into my computer and then eject it, the computer won't recognize when I put it back in. The only thing I can do to fix this is restart the computer. This happens on XP, btw. Never tried it on any other OS.

I've tried to make candied ginger before and the ginger never got tender. The steps I followed were slightly different than these (I never let the ginger dry), so I wonder if this recipe would produce different results.

I had severe acid reflux some time ago and found that Pepcid Complete (or any of the generic store versions) works way better than anything else for everything from minor heartburn to full-on GERD. It's a bit more expensive (maybe 25 tablets for $7-$8), but you only need to take one a day.
