If anyone from Dolphin is reading this, please allow Dolphin to run when the iPhone screen is off. It's very useful for when you're using Grooveshark in the car and don't want to completely drain the battery. Safari and Chrome both allow this, but I'd rather use Dolphin all the time.

I came here to recommend the same case. It's made of this flexible plastic that offers good protection without being too thick, and it feels good in the hand. I've only dropped my phone twice (once on concrete and once on tile) but it protected it beautifully.

My router and network card (yes, I'm still rocking a desktop PC) got fried this weekend in a storm. Weird, huh! So in addition to having a backup router, I'd also suggest having a backup network card. I got my new router today but my network card is going to take a few more days. Why did I order one? Because no stores

Ah, my final comment was kind of an aside. I do use the Skype app, but shouldn't you be able to use the iPhone as a standalone webcam? Doesn't seem like it'd be that hard for someone to implement.

I need to buy a webcam for very infrequent Skyping. Can anyone recommend a decent one for $20 or cheaper?

I've scaled back my RSS feeds, so I'm just reading two or three feeds via the Google Reader integration in Flipboard now, which makes for a nice experience.

Well hello there.

It's not the homepage, but the new tab page that has the recently visited pages on it. If it's not showing by default, click the grid in the upper right corner.

Does anyone else ever feel like they have phony online obligations? For example, I subscribe to Lifehacker and Gawker (amongst a few others) in Google Reader and sometimes end up checking my account obsessively to read new articles. But when it comes down to it, nothing from either source is particularly urgent, and

I was oddly curious about this and found a video. It's like magic!

I work for a company whose web address is an exact match domain in a moderately competitive SEO landscape and I was casually given the opportunity to improve our SERP rankings. For some reason, we're not able to rank above #3 in Google for the keywords in the domain, and often our position bounces around the first

Dreamhost has always been garbage for me. Sure they're cheap, but my server was flaky as all get out. But wait, there's more! I cancelled my hosting account with them and asked them to completely delete my account but they refused to do so, stating it's company policy to leave all accounts open. To this day I can

I'd like to vote for ASO but don't see an option to do so. Anyone else missing the vote box above?

Are you serious? For all the raving about their "heroic support" on their web site, they sure were underwhelming when I used them. Most of the support people I chatted with seemed annoyed I had a problem, and their email support staff wasn't much better. There are better options out there.

VOTE: A SMALL ORANGE

Thanks. I'll link to this thread in the tips forum so someone sees it—at least a few of the writers check there regularly. I think this should do it:

Glad I'm not the only one bothered by this. I never used to have a problem with book quality from Amazon, but it's gotten worse and worse over time. Like you, I'll gladly spend an extra $5 to get it from a local bookstore.

How about how to order brand new books from Amazon and actually have them come in brand new condition? Every time I order books from them now they're all banged up and dirty.
