I work from home for someone else, but I have so much free time during the regular workday that I feel like I should be working on my own thing or at least figuring out how to start my own thing so I don't have to work for the man anymore.

My parents have a grind-and-brew coffeemaker and the lid on the carafe is really hard to twist off. My mother rubbed a little vegetable oil on the threads and now twisting it on and off is a breeze. I think she said she has to re-oil it every month or two.

Is there a way to get the Firefox address bar to only show certain bookmarks when typing in a URL? I have many folders of bookmarks but I only want bookmarks in a couple folders to show up when I start typing. I'm guessing I'll probably need an extension for this (if one even exists).

So when I stand under the water in my shower, the shower curtain stays put. But as soon as I move out of the stream, the curtain starts ballooning into the tub.

The hosts file fix isn't working for me on any browser. Anyone know why? The Adblock fix mentioned below does work, though.
