This is what I don't get about this level of greed. Their effort to stifle this space is actually going to cause a brain drain that will make their own hiring much more difficult. People in the C-Suite are making these decisions with no understanding of the business they operate in.

Na, it affects players if they want to continue having 5e content. This entire debacle by WotC would have, and now likely will, gut the market for 3rd party content and given that WotC is transitioning to a new edition that means that 5e will effectively no longer have new content after 2024.
