Back it up.

Except that if the person is identifying themselves as a woman, the vast majority of the time there won't be any "cylindrical" thing there. Am I automatically supposed to assume that the person is transgender?

Yo, I hate security theatre as much as the next person and tend to opt out of those machines and get groped instead. But there was actually an underwear bomber — it's not totally crazy paranoia.

Nope, nobody in TSA should be concerned about someone trying to board a plane dressed as one gender when their ID or passport says they are another. And appearing to be a gender that you identification does not say you are is TOTALLY like a white guy wearing gold chains and baggy pants and they are afraid they are

are all humans human, and equal? Yes. Are all cultural modes equal? No. Can you compare modern Norwegian society, or Canadian society, or Uruguayan society with the slave owning cultures of Ancient Rome, or the kafala system in the UAE?

I have a defibrillator in my chest. Before flying I called the airport, my cardiologist, and researched myself online how it should be handled. I didnt expect anyone to just know. Even though my problem is leaps and bounds more common than having to deal with a transgender person.

Oh, fuck that. There is nothing wrong with a woman having a penis, but to say that it isn't incongruous is totally disingenuous.

The difference being that in one case you know that its supposed to be there...in the other case you are unsure.

The passenger presented himself as female so the RPD was conducted by a female LTSO.

I think this is one of those cases that's harder for a non-transgender to understand. Like, I purposefully choose clothes that will get me through security faster—no bra with an underwire, no jewelry I can't at least get on and off quickly, shoes that are easy to get on/off. If I had a false leg, I'd still wear it

I think the obvious solution in this situation would be some sort of identifier for trans individuals so that we can pick them out in a crowd.

... but feminism is the problem.

If you're with me you don't need insect repellant. Apparently, I give off lots of carbon dioxide which makes me the moral equivalent of mosquito catnip.

Transphobia? Where? Your logic is weak at best. In fact it is nonexistent.

By all means, there should be more sensitivity training. The world would be a better place if everyone were more sensitive. THAT BEING SAID, some of these complaints seem like they are reaching for outrage where it's just people trying to do their job. And do I understand why people who are constantly presented

EXACTLY!!!!
Im all for everyone being treated as equally as possible. Male, female, straight, gay, trans, or whatever other designation out there. But if I am a TSA agent that is supposed to look out for suspicious people then I would say a male disguised as a female is pretty damn suspicious. How do they know they are

oh my god fuck this "outrage." You look like a woman and you have an unknown cylindrical object hidden in your pants.
If you want to do away with the TSA then lets do it, but lets not pretend that there's a solution out there that gives trans people the exact same experience as non-trans people without endangering

Yeah, my first thought was "Modesto or Bust!" But El Centro, or the Salton Sea area or Yuba City or Barstow or Mendo ... I would watch a show about "the secret occult history of the US transportation system" set in any of these places.

Watch: Dallas Buyer's Club, A Time to Kill, and Mud. When he gets a good script, he does good work. Even U-571 was pretty good.

I'm three episodes into the first season and I'm so confused...
