You mean the N64 one? Sort of in the sense the battles will go with or without your input, but you do need to input commands to affect the turn order.
An increasing number of Japanese mobile games are getting localized. Like, a year later, but you can’t rule this out completely. Well, off to try it!
Well, you’ve convinced me to check it out! I’ve sifted through a lot of F2P mobage in the past year and Final Fantasy Record Keeper and Bravely Archive were the only ones I stuck with in the end. I’d keep playing Agito too but it just takes too long to load.
Confirmed my feeling that Japanese gamers aren’t as used to the open world style of games. Well, here’s hoping FFXV will help close the gap.
No big deal. It isn’t a bad UI. Popular features get spread across the industry all the time.
Yeah the plot is super boring until around level 40 or so. I actually unsubbed because I was falling asleep during the quests. But once stuff happens, it just gets better from there.
I love that they added that in the recent patch. Time to grab two friends and walk through snowy Coerthas!
I completely surprised myself when FFXIV became the main game taking up most of my entertainment time sometime last February. I’ve just hit level 50 on my Archer/Bard and hope to start working on a healing job after I finish the main story quest.

Bato from Ghost in the Shell.
Me too.
Ah, Kill La Kill. So much to appreciate no matter what region’s audience you were (a bit like Kung Fu Hustle!). It’s one of those series I want to point at and tell people, “This is why anime is good (just ignore the boobs).”
Because bans on popular movies have always stopped Chinese viewers in the past... /s
The timing for the defense button is really hard. Basically it just doesn't work if you are already in any sort of animation at all, so the animation must complete before you can dodge. Very annoying,
note: The Love Live ones are actual singer-actors, I think.
To be honest, I was really skeptical about the CG animation at first. I suppose I was hoping for a prettier Char's Counterattack. It wasn't that bad.
Yeah, you pretty much need to have prior knowledge of the characters and factions or you will be lost.
