I once got a decent sized wood pallet in my Fit via this nifty feature. It baaaaaaaarely cleared the door opening. I had to upgrade for space reasons earlier this year, but damn if I don’t miss that little hauler.

My gosh, I have been having this exact thought this week. I took in a young family member a few years ago, and am running this ship alone. All the shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry, house repair, pet care, bills, budgeting, doctor’s appointments, schooling, therapy, fixing Zoom problems, activities, scheduling…
I pull up Jetsons sound clips on my phone to annoy my mom when I ride in her Bolt. The car definitely has a certain sound to it.
Oh gosh, I’m a corral organizer too. Perhaps I’ve been stuck inside for too long but it really irks me when a corral is a mess because people can’t be bothered to nest their cart into the stack that’s already there and the disorder snowballs. So, every time I go to Costco or my grocery store I clean up whatever corral…
Yeah, the Fit is a fantastic car. 130k on mine and all kinds of trouble-free adventures. Shame Honda gave it the axe here.
You certainly can, but rolling them into an IRA can give you more control over how the money is invested. Or, if you’re savvy with tax brackets, rolling them into a Roth IRA can save you quite a bit of taxes later.
Lol, this is exactly the experience I had transferring an old 401k from Voya to Fidelity.
I’m in a San Diego ‘burb with its own school district and we’re doing full-time in school or full virtual. I’m putting the kid in virtual and watching the schools burn down from afar. One upside to being laid off and stuck at home I suppose.
Former Child Passenger Safety Tech here.
Take care of it and you will. Bulletproof little things.
Audiobooks are already on the list :). We’re working with the free Audible stuff now but may get an account later.
Not going to lie, I am absolutely dreading summer. I’m pulling the plug on virtual learning three days early because I am DONE.
I’m dealing with an 8 year old singleton, and am single myself, so all his daytime activities are limited to solo-ness. He also isn’t the best at independent play and coming up with his own…
I’ve had good luck with Skillshare to learn software/concepts, and it’s easy to get a free month of the premium courses.
Setting a budget and sticking to it was the only way I was able to dig out of $14k in credit card debt. Now I’ve been debt free (minus a mortgage) for nearly 5 years and I won’t go back. For the first time in my life I have an emergency fund that’s full AND have money saved for a new car.
My laptop can make it about 10-15 minutes off the charger, so any improvement in battery life is a plus. Thank you - I’ll check out that site.
Do you have any recommendations on how to find a GOOD aftermarket battery, as you say? I’m on a 2010 MBP with a sad battery that needs replacement.
Big Fi lover here too - I recently switched over to the unlimited data plan just in time to be at home on my own wifi all day XD
I actually traded face masks I made for a few rolls of paper towels the other day. Welcome to our new economy.
Mine’s pretty chill too. But I’m in a townhouse so most of the things that people beef about with HOAs (paint colors, lawns, etc.) does not apply. Heck, they even ask neighborhood kids to grab river rock from the landscaping and paint it for the HOA board to create rock gardens in the pool area.
Also a native (and still here) - and as hard a pill to swallow as it’s all been, we seem to be doing mostly ok considering the situations elsewhere. Kudos to the governor in responding quickly despite the whiners!
