Eh... why go to a theater and spend $20 when I can wait 8 months and watch it happening live on TV and my front window?

Yeah, I’ve never made it 30 minutes in to LOTR to be honest, and skipped GOT as well. If it’s too faithful to the book I get bored because I know what’s coming, and if it isn’t I get salty because the changes are invariably for the worse. This was ok when I was a kid, since an adaptation was often the first I’d heard

“If you felt an earthquake just now, it might have been Google’s latest announcement. In one of the biggest updates in Google’s history”

These articles are all annoying. The show is either going to be good or it isn’t. and the proof will be on the screen for everyone to judge. I think your speculation based on the crumbs that have fallen from the table are darts thrown in the dark.

And then everything came out, after he came back. Sounds to me like the old board had it right.

Arrakis, a new fragrance by Hermes.

Kinda felt like they were trying to sell me perfume.

As someone who has, for nearly 40 years, read at least the main trilogy about every other year or so — and despite (or dare I say, because of) some of the changes (i.e., Liet-Kynes) — I believe the first movie already showed and that this trailer is showing that Part 2 will, collectively, be the best live action

My body is so ready for this...

Villeneuve’s Dune films are this generation’s Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings.

Sure, but they are spoilers for a 60 year old book which many people read after seeing the first movie if they hadn't read it before and is on it’s third adaptation for TV or movies.
