Not to mention in the time it took for Tesla to announce and "release” the cyber truck, Rivian released both the R1S and the R1T.

The front view of this thing reminds me of a boat on wheels.

No need to waste arrows, access to the occupants is just a stone’s throw away...

Even for a college project it would be pretty lame. Just looks like flat aluminum panels slapped over a tube frame.

Glad I’m not the only one.  It’s not a pretty truck…but that frontal view is just weird.

There are some narrow Starbucks drive throughs that will be pretty treacherous.

Why doesn’t Tesla just call the Origami Truck the name that it truly deserves: “White Elephant”.

Let’s be honest with ourselves though. The 15 people with more money than sense who will buy these monstrosities aren’t going to be taking them off-road. They’re doing it for the attention and the most serious road obstacle they will ever see will be speed bumps in mall parking lots.

Another major feature of wired, while definitely advanced lvl, is power over ethernet.   If you want security cameras, you can run ‘only’ the ethernet cable and not need a power source for the cameras.

You sort of glossed over the most important value of ethernet: connecting the WiFi APs to the internet source. Mesh networking is sloowwwwwww. People who aren’t technically inclined love it because it’s simple, and simple has a lot of value, but mesh inserts a ton of latency and throughput limitations in your network.

Amen.

Plus, we do nothing to incentivize builders to build starter homes. The inventory of these homes is very, very low, and they are in demand, but no builders will build any. I live in an area of the US with a low cost of living, and when I look at the top 5 home builders in my area, none of their offerings would be

Yeah... that’s not at all how Ahsoka was in any of the EU stuff she was in. She’s had a range of emotions, a range of experiences, but she’s always been more... alive... than Dawson is playing her. Dawson is going deep into some kind of patient mysticism that just doesn’t feel like the character to me.

Anakin was a lot more likeable in animated form.

I did not watch the cartoons these characters were in, but I think I have followed along well enough to get what’s going on. Overall I enjoyed it.

Lynch’s film is a piece of crap. Just compare the opening scene with Paul dreaming of Arrakis and Chani. Lynch’s is amateurish at best. Villeneuve’s is lovely and spare in getting the point across as well as having a great transition out of the dream. Lynch was interested in the weird bits of the story and little else.

Dennis essentially just upgraded the special effects and copied David Lynch’s version (practically) shot for shot.

In LA I have yet to see it ever go down, only up a little, a lot, ludicrous, and we are now entering into plaid. And I’m not even talking about proper LA. Noho and surrounding valley areas are getting hit.

A comment on it maybe better to rent. I think people forget that when renting the landlord usually can just increase the rent to whatever they want and put you in a bind of having to move. If this is going on all around where you live this can push you out to live far from work which is an added cost in itself. If you
