“It’s not really a software/hardware issue. Those aspects are cheaper than the real problem, the licensing cost to use the patents involved.”
Sigh.... This new world order is so depressing.... Because of a few bad apples — yes, a small percentage of people — we aren’t able to say that a member of the opposite sex looks nice today without running every compliment through a filter and parsing our words. That’s sad, isn’t it?
“There were A LOT of things that led to the 2008 collapse - many of which aren’t factors today.”
“Honestly this crisis won’t be the one.”
“LOL. You bought in 2009. That is so cute.”
“The generation that had the misfortune of being born after our predecessors that bought their houses at rock-bottom prices...”
“I’m sorry, I give up. I’ve been trying to buy a house since 2013, waiting for prices just to go down even a little. Yet somehow a global pandemic with an unemployment over 20% is still not enough to make the fucking housing market dip. “Though forgive me if I have less empathy for your predicament because the hills that make the best wines outside of New Zealand block your TV.”
“Hrmm, usually when people say they can’t get service its due to man made line of sight transmission issues https://www.antennaweb.org/ < have you tried this?”
“And here’s the thing - once you start shopping for food online, it’s actually harder to bring yourself to go into a supermarket to do your weekly shopping.”
“I trust you have tried using HD antenna’s like “Moho Leaf” but if you can’t get service due to your building than cable should have a cheap add on for local channels.”
How long before some plumbers, electricians, etc. start advertising whether they’ve been tested for covid-19 antibodies and can no longer catch/spread the virus?
“I would think social isolation might lead to more alcohol poisonings and, in general, more alcohol-related nastiness.”
“I don’t know what readings are but if this is an actual class you’re talking about, teachers and kids are utilizing video and chat or twitch for their ‘home’ school.”
Naw, the president is one job among hundreds of cabinet positions and political appointees. Mostly a figurehead. It’s still the Trump vs. humanity’s future election.
I don’t go to games as often as I’d like, but I’m still a fan. And I watch the ads on TV, online, everywhere. Long as players aren’t getting paid for not playing, I understand not wanting to play in an empty arena, but if they did then everyone who isn’t in the arena would still get to be a fan.
“Sure Sanders has said some stupid stuff, but given Joe Biden’s history/actions, there’s hardly a comparison.”
