Remember in "Princess Monster Wife", when he actually got a willing (terrifying frankenstein) princess? He was pretty gracious, all things considered.

I have thought about that. I was thinking that maybe the weird last-minute month-and-a-half hiatus was because they wanted to do the same thing with AT that they decided to do with SU, and have a hype-generating buildup to the finale followed by some S7 episodes to retain momentum.
I honestly got more of a Rick and Morty vibe.
It's not LSP, but it is a Lumpy Space Person. They have a triangle instead of a star. Clearly this means they're from the homeworld.
Maybe "Poppa" as in "Big Poppa"?
I dunno, I'm ordinarily fine with low-key stories with no grand "meaning", but this story didn't take place in Ooo and didn't feature emotional stakes for anyone other than Martin, who's still kind of flat at this point. I feel like if you're going to introduce a character like Martin, you should at least try to…
I honestly think stuff like this comes less from a desire to make Martin good than a desire to tie this orphaned episode into the rest of canon somehow.
The twist made sense to me, in a sort of Hitchhiker's Guide way.
Yeah, remember that these reviews are written on a really tight timeframe and that most people learn about all the tiny bits of trivia and minutiae through tumblr screenshots and other social media.
Yeah, I'd just assumed it was paid off as much as it would be paid off in "Reign of Gunters".
In further LSP news: it sounds a lot like she's calling the walruses "sluts" after she pokes them with the hockey stick. Can anyone else verify this?
Clearly this means the one on Mars is God, and actual Abraham Lincoln is just Jesus.
I actually like how willing Falk is to stretch things out and string sequences together, although I'm mostly ambivalent about how long that one took.
I don't mind. I don't know about any of these people, so it's just neat to me. Plus I like obsessing over who boarded what.
I felt like it matched with the episode's absurdism, although it does clash a bit with the mythos, to whatever extent AT has it.
It's pretty clear if you rewatch. LSP has her arm around Gunthalina in one scene, and replies to her wenks with "That's so true! I am the prettiest one here!"
Oliver actually has a great knowledge of the alt-comics folk who have sometimes helped out this season. His AT reviews aren't that great but I crack it up to AT just being really hard to review.
Don't forget "Ocarina" and "Breezy".
Someone on Tumblr pointed out that LSP seemed to be hooking up with dear Gunthalina. She even dragged an unconscious LSP out of the party after the accident.
Not my personal favorite episode, but this one did feel like a bit of a throwback to earlier seasons, especially after "You Forgot Your Floaties".
