That’s because it is. Most people that have a financed car pay near or more than $550 a month all in on their car expenses.

That doesn’t really offset the cost of owning my car. So why even bother? I didn’t buy my car to not use it. 

It’s a marketing tactic. The American automakers love to make people “think” they’re getting a good deal. The “$5,000 off” stuff is usually bullshit. They were going to sell it for that price anyways.

Also, Ford’s crossover lineup is hilariously outdated compared to the competition. Most of their lineup is pretty old at this point.

They haven’t. I very very rarely see Audis older than the early 2000's on the road, whereas I still see a fair number of older Mercedes and BMWs from the 90's. Out of the “big 3" German luxury brands, Audi has always been the least reliable by far IMO.

I personally prefer the Pioneer mvh 1400nex. Same price and it doesn’t have the ugly-ass aftermarket buttons on it. It looks way more factory than most of the other aftermarket head units. I have it in my 2015 Mazda 6 and it’s great.

I would guess a car with a CVT but I’m assuming that all of them have some sort of speed limiter for reverse which would prevent the CVT from doing its magic, or they might have a separate gear entirely for reverse. If that’s the case then it’s a complete crapshoot without trying every car out.
