All of them?
All of them?
The older gen X’ers in their late 40's and very early 50's are pretty similar to boomers for sure. The younger ones in their late 30's and early 40's don’t seem to be that way as much though. I have some coworkers who are younger gen X’ers and they are enjoyable people to be around.
You are right, however I was specifically referring to this bubble of prices on American muscle cars from the 60's and 70's since the market for them is mostly boomers.
To make matters worse for Harley Davidson, most young people loathe Harleys.
You called me a twinkie. Lmao.
We’ll be paying for a lot of shit they kicked down the road for us sadly.
What did I do to piss you off?
Chipotle is always worth the diarrhea and intestinal distress it causes.
They are truly the shittiest generation in American history by a huge margin. Millennials are still young enough to collectively get their shit together as a generation. Gen X should consider themselves lucky because the problems of boomers and millennials diverted everyone’s attention away from them.
It’s bad. Most of them are rusting in half and barely run.
This problem starts and ends with boomers. Once they all die off demand for cars like this will go down.
We had a sizable Chinese student body where I went to college. Pretty much all of them would go lease Jaguars, Audis, Mercedes, etc. Then when they moved back to China they often threw all of the brand new furniture they bought into dumpsters because they couldn’t be bothered with taking the time to sell it.
I didn’t think anything of it until I got to the 3rd car and it was still a Challenger.
Mine was actually an extremely rare factory 5 speed manual so I never worried about the transmission. Sadly it had the NA engine. As cool as the 5 speed was, with only 168 hp it was a dog and got surprisingly bad gas mileage to boot. The gears were really short to help improve acceleration which meant it revved too…
Nope.
My personal experiences with P2 Volvos are similar. I used to own a 2004 V70. The repairs were expensive when they cropped up but I did notice that it didn’t need repairs as frequently as some other cars I have owned and usually they were not serious issues. The car never broke down or left me stranded. I sold it…
So much class envy in these comments. This sites hatred of wealthy people is always entertaining.
Came here to say this. That’s a huge oversight.
This. People love to talk about how employers underpay people but it’s hard to find data that actually shows their claims. The biggest reason for this is that the definition of “underpaid” is subjective. What one person might deem as being underpaid might be a satisfactory salary to someone else.
It’s pretty ironic to hear Lutz talk about Tesla potentially going bankrupt when he was one of the highest people on the totem pole at GM when they went bankrupt and were subsequently bailed out by the US government.
