Can we also make fun of the people who list their cars for $1 because they either don’t want to put a real asking price on it, want to to find it when you’re searching for cheap cars so they can try to screw you, or because they’re too stupid to realize that $1 =/= $1,000 or $10,000 being displayed in the listing?

That really pisses me off too. The other thing I hate is when people take pictures of the interior and it’s completely trashed because they didn’t bother to clean it up first.

~100,000 miles before all hell broke loose was pretty much par for the course for most domestic sedans at the time. Ford was clearly still in that mindset because they used 5 digit odometers well into the 1990's.

I know all of the minor details to distinguish each year of the 2nd gen Taurus. Which is incredibly embarrassing.

In the 18 months I had my 1994 I replaced all of the struts, the power steering pump, the water pump, the harmonic balancer, the oil pan gasket 3 times, the EGR valve, the valve cover gaskets, the radiator, all of the coolant hoses, the speed sensor, the starter, both of the rear bushings for the control arms, and

My Taurus nickled and dimed me on pretty much a monthly basis. I don’t think I ever drove it more than 1,000 miles before a new problem started. It had 116k when I bought it and I only put about 10,000 miles on it before I made it someone else’s problem.

You have great luck with Fords. I have to say I am a Ford guy myself but my Taurus was a turd. I had a 1994 Ford Ranger that I took to 271k and sold in near perfect condition though.

Well a 92 SHO’ is almost completely different mechanically than a GL and also a much more desirable car that’s worth keeping.

What is it about blizzards that make people freak the fuck out and clean out grocery store shelves? Do people seriously not have enough food for 1-4 days?

You’re right.

He glued a part of another steering wheel onto the steering wheel. He does not know what he’s doing.

I owned a 1994 Ford Taurus as my first car. Learn from my experience....Do not buy a 1986-1995 Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable under any circumstances. They are very poorly made cars that were not engineered to last more than 100,000 miles or so. This particular example also has the head gasket eating 3.8 Essex V6. Not

That’s how I feel as well. I live in Kansas City. It only snows here about 2-4 times a winter and it’s rare that we get over 6 inches at a time. The snow plows here have all of the roads cleared the same day or the next morning. Winter tires here are not necessary because you realistically only would benefit from

The “sedanocalypse” is largely fabricated and over-exaggerated by Jalopnik. Just because sales are down does not mean that the sedan is dying. If the sedan was truly dying then we would not see the new redesigns for 2018 from major players in the segment like Honda and Toyota.

Gateways are great computers. I have no idea why they seem to no longer be relevant though.

Tell Tesla that.

I’ve seen passenger airbags in all sorts of places on the dash. They could easily engineer around it.

Don’t worry, I did. That was taken after a trip to Colorado.

It’s debatable but it looks blue/gray to me.
