I also get chills. I can remember the EXCITEMENT I felt, the raw emotion that a kid that age feels, when the White Ranger was revealed.

I liked the idea of pulp-style aliens in the Indy-verse, because it expanded the general weird shit that was possible and it fit the time period that it was set in. But I also agree with you about them not being Indy’s wheelhouse. He’s spent his life having adventures in search for human artifacts, that embodied the…
Didn’t mind the aliens either. Just really hated Shia, a lot of it towards the end felt like a ripoff of the Brendan Fraser Mummy films (Mac’s death sequence is basically Benny’s death from the first one), and how many of the scenes felt like bad clones of earlier entries.
Tell me... when does it all end, huh?
He’s doing a speedrun to jail.
Extra! Extra! “Man promises thing that is obvious and inevitable!”
Tell me... when does it all end, huh?
I’m guessing narcissistic personality disorder with a dash of sociopathy thrown in for good measure. She seems to fit most of the criteria for NPD. It’s possible she started out with good intentions, fueled by the narcissist’s tendency toward grandiosity and superiority. She may genuinely have believed that she could…
Taylor doesn’t like climate change, guys!
Gotta go fast
unfortunately, literally true. weird world.
Lol. He might be auditioning.
He should join Congress, then doing that would be perfectly ok.
I nominate this for Comment of the Year.
No. This is Beyonce’s internet. You’re looking for Al Gore’s internet.
“A conversation that I don’t think I’d want to have in this venue” is also an awareness that the person on the phone is looking for “Seinfeld blasts back at Chappelle” clickbait headline and he’s politely opting out of that.
His response was perfectly reasonable? It’s basically: why are you looking to Jerry Seinfeld to solve this? Comes off to me as self-awareness that this really isn’t his lane, and it isn’t. He has no deep thoughts on this, and realizes it.
Dipping his toe in the tv pool makes a lot of sense. Pulling off a great show is an amazing feet, but anyone is gonna be a shoe-in, it’s him. I feel like when you put as much heart and sole into your films as QT does, you have to take some time to heel when it’s done. I wonder if it’ll be serious or, like his films,…
For 2022, there have been or will be three movies (DS2, Thor 4, and BP2), three shows (Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk), and two specials (Werewolf by Night, GotG special). In total it’s about 21 hours of content over the course of a year. That really is not that much - the fourth season of Stranger Things alone…
Nah. Doesn’t feel like 70s Marvel at all, no sense of the inmates running the asylum, no endless procession of editors who also want to keep a hand in writing, no Vietnam vets and acidheads running amok. It’s a finely tuned, smoothly-running Hollywood machine.
