Where is The Nice Guys 2?

I appreciate your balanced response!

“as though it were pulled straight from a mid-’90s time capsule—and considering it’s Seinfeld’s first special in over two decades, maybe some of it was.”

He quit before Netflix forced him to have Marc Maron (who has repeatedly insulted him for being insufficiently edgy) and Bert Kreischer (who Seinfeld thinks is an undisciplined goon) on the show.

That’s what his arm looks like when swollen?

Don’t remind me how great his run on Daredevil was...and that they aren’t any new comics for a while.

Agreed. You can love P&R and still have reasonable criticism of this teaser.

Donger” is the formal usted form, as compared to “dong” used in the more familiar tú form.

I appreciate that you actually dug into some causal explanation, rather than just blurting out “nah” like some of the non-contributors.

I indicated the “popular music” of the era.

There’s always something worthwhile, but there are also high and low points. The same thing goes for film.

Here’s one metric: movie soundtracks. They’re going to continue to put Credence Clearwater, the Rolling Stones, and Chuck Berry in non-period movies because that music is evocative and has momentum. They’re not putting much of the popular music of the ‘90s into movies, unless they’re specific period pieces.

It was hardly the music of my generation, yet I think he has a point.

Did anyone else initially think that the photograph was fat Elon Musk?

That’s a fair point for comedians in general. Very few can keep up the quality while producing a new hour of material every year.

I’m referring to verbatim re-use of punchlines from previous specials.

Well said regarding Maron’s attempts at self-improvement.

The new material remains great, but I noticed quite a few lines repeated from previous specials.

Yes. At the end of the film, he reveals an almost paternalistic attitude toward Redford. However, I think that he suggests relocating to Europe, not becoming a hit man.
