Its much more healthy to take a step back and embrace the physical and tangible rather then the digital. Turning away and turning off toxicity online was a very good skill I learned.

Don’t get me wrong - watching this film anywhere on the “as balls-shit-fuck” highness continuum is a fine way to watch, just putting in the word that square nerds like me can and do enjoy it too.

Just to provide a counter-balance to a common theme I see in many Mandy reviews/write ups - I was not “high as fuck” when I saw Mandy, but still loved it.

She is beholden to her constituents, so I wonder why you view this as a negative? Fiscal transparency (I had no idea the actual sum of congressional operating budgets!) should be praised and normalized, not discouraged. It’s owed to us as taxpayers and citizens.

You’d be surprised how much pols respond to public shaming actually. I’ve worked with legislators for several years post-law school and have seen it first hand. Working effectively with your colleagues day-to-day doesn’t mutually exclude being a firebrand on particular issues.
