Sounds similar to the GED or the CHSPE. I'll have to look that up. Thanks for the note.

Hmmm, looks like I'm a little late on this life milestone.

Not quite. Unfortunately, the consoles aren't the only places putting the DLC on disc (or as hidden data within patches) and charging for unlock keys later. I've got a number of PC games from a handful of publishers that do this as well.

Did you mean relevant to you or simply relevant?

Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cold Stream was decent for something still in testing. I only had three issues with it during the times I tested it solo.

The industry has been doing that for a few years now and people supported it with their money so unfortunately it's now here to stay.

These specs look very oddly formatted to be official/professional. At any rate if those are indeed the recommended specs my rig is still well ahead of the game.

No the argument is not null and void. There are multiple methods of using parallax barriers for 3D so you would still need to have the product in hand to know the exact implementation and if it infringes on your specific patented implementation.

Well I disagree. I've played, own and enjoyed every shooter series I mentioned (I say this to clarify that I don't have the internet standard bias against things I haven't experienced) and Crysis ranks near the top for me because of its more varied gameplay and the difference in it's setting and story.

Translation: EA wants some stuff exclusive to its own Origin store so it can have a bit of a higher profit margin on these items since they are a direct publisher. No problem with that part in my book, but the clear BS they are putting into the media for dissemination is beyond insulting to the consumers. There's also

I hear ya. Then I see games like Crysis get labeled as "generic" when they tend to not follow that checklist anywhere near as closely as the Battlefields, CODs, Medal of Honors, Killzones, etc. I always scratch my head on that one.

A key difference is that there are FAR more FPS games in the West than there are Dynasty Warriors type games in the East. The DW "genre" is popular but it is not saturating the Japanese market the way FPS are in the West.

I'm not following what you are getting at yet. Can you elaborate on how you see an online pass helping with improving any of the four things you listed?

Three reasons I can think of:

Exactly.

The reports I've read suggest they were working long hours for short-hour pay. That is undeniably unacceptable.

Get a new GPU like silversun said. Also the CPU can likely be overclocked to squeeze some more performance out of it for everything you do.

High end when? No high end computer made in the last 2 years with gaming GPU(s) is having issues running Crysis 1 on its highest settings. I hope you're not talking about a computer with a non-gaming GPU (like a Quadro card) that was designed for graphic design and CAD applications. What are the specs?
