Great....the week after I buy it for my PS3 thinking they were gonna pull a Red Dead and not do a PC version. Ah well, good news nonetheless.

Exactly Prosthetics. Anyone defending this and calling "assumptions" after reading the last paragraph needs to re-evaluate their standards of what it takes to consider an environment unfit for a child...and by extension the person creating that environment a bad parent.

I'm right there with you. Two 5870's myself.

Most games don't freakout under multi-GPU (Crossfire/SLI) configurations. I've got hundreds of games installed and only 2-3 I can think of offhand have worse performance with crossfire on. So if it's something you want to invest in, it's not as bad as you seem to have heard.

Exactly.

I haven't read all of the comments yet, but I'll chime in and say something that I'm sure will be a repeat (even the article alludes to it).

Because "Project Ten Dollar" and this idea are completely different. EA's idea is to get some money from used game sales where as without it they would get none. This is OK in my book as they *should* earn money on each sale of their own product, not just the Gamestop style resellers.

OK, you got me. I LOL'd. Nicely done :)

This is unfortunate. That just removed this game from my must buy list. If I can't play a game I purchased in it's entirety while I'm traveling then I can't use it.

That's cold. +1 internetz to you. :)

This isn't her first review. I know she did the one for Dead Space 2. There are a ton of "interesting" comments on it on their youtube channel.

Exactly.

I came to a point last year where I realized I cannot keep up with flow of games now. I've been a gamer for 25 years now and am in my 30's.

I was thinking the same thing.

If you trust metacritic you pretty much trust them all in a sense since it's just a weighted aggregate site.

Yeah, funds they rely on to make "new" games...like 'Splosion Ma....err....MaxPlosion. Sorry Capcom, after that stunt, among others recently, you're the last company I'm worried about losing potential funds.

Hmmm, nice reasonable specs. My PC is WAY above that so it should be no problem...if the game is properly optimized.

@Justin: 1) Open sourcing the source code is not the same as open sourcing the game's assets unless the company used the wrong open source license.

@Kobun: Yep, I still do this.

@PHASE123: That's what I expected to see when I clicked the link to the kotaku article.
