Plane Interiors R Us

Wasted intelligence on this author. Flying phobe with a bullhorn. Can’t say a good word about the market. Lives in a basement with everything delivered.

Engine run-ups are a thing and mechanics do then all the time when a plane is on long term standby vs mothballing where everything is drained and plugged.

So price gouging during a health crisis is evil. Striking for higher pay during a national crisis is good. Just making sure I understand how this works...

Was this written by the same people who tell us that the zipper merge is less efficient than going up to the gore point and forcing everyone to stop and let you in? I don’t believe this one either. They don’t understand the causes as well as they think. It is all about cost. Where are the best schools or safest

Not just EU. I recall the same thing in Singapore during SARS. The airports have a use or lose for departure slots. Losing key time slots could break an airline faster than fuel and staffing.

Supercharger would be the best way. They have tested them on diesel recip aircraft.

They have used lcd for welding masks forever

Actually, it is the other way. They fail in the black position. The crystals need power to orient and transmit light

I really like the lasers and a camera idea. With the right filter you could make the laser stand out in bright sunlight. It could have a setting to only enable in low gear, super low speeds to avoid use on the road.

As an engineer who has designed stow bins I can attest to the fact that they all are designed with minimal air flow. There is just enough gap to keep the pressure equalized. Not a square inch is wasted. Airlines want maximum storage volume. Toss in a couple more bags up there and the available air would have been

Me too. Great audiobook. Highly recommended. Jonesing for Book 6.

When you work in the business those pics get around.

To the adult males who may not be sure if their MMR is up to date. If you get Mumps as an adult, it can travel south to your other glands. I had a friend spend weeks in a hospital bed getting heat lamp treatments on his horribly DISTENDED sack. I think he might be sterile now, but they were more concerned about

Like we need a single aircraft that could carry 70 cruise missles that looks exactly like a 747-8. KAL 007 anyone?

I spent a couple of years working on the RC-135. Those frames were also built in the 1960's. The re-engining of aircraft is cost effective as the fuel saving and amortization of the effort can be spread over decades. BTW. Those birds have been completely replumbed, rewired, re-skinned many times already. This is all

Shoot the industrial designers. Horrible layout for emergency egress. Horrible lighting. And. The. Armrests. Teague interns would get smacked with berets for this tube is collapsing aesthetic.

Speaking for commercial aircraft engineers, we would love to get rid of windows on airplanes. You wouldn’t believe how heavy and expensive to design and maintain the entire system (note that freighters don’t have hardly any). We just need to get market acceptance and technology for virtual windows to get there. WAY
