The problem I have with canned mushrooms and black olives is I never use them all at once, and mushrooms especially go bad so quickly, even in the fridge.

I like to make a meal of canned salmon mixed with fried rice, with carrots on the side.  (But, sorry, fresh carrots are better.)

I totally disagree on pineapple. Canned pineapple lacks the meat tenderizer enzyme that gives fresh pineapple its “bite”. And it generally just tastes slimy and terrible to me.

Reading the occasional “Who would want to read subtitles when watching movies” comments around here and everywhere else is depressing enough already.

At first I was like, “Huh?”

A line from Star Wars Episode 1 keeps coming to mind when I see political happenings. Yes, that’s the bad one, The Phantom Menace. It’s delivered by one of the Trade Federation guys, in this weird accent:

You think that’s something? For awhile they had their own PBS animated show!

Portable air conditioners are generally bad. Portable air conditioners with only an exhaust hose - no intake - are even worse because they’ll suck air in from someplace else, and it’s likely to be hot air.

Translation: I’m Linux.  I’m hard to understand, but I can make your Chromebook useful.

A big part of the problem is that America never had a BBC, there was never a public-funded, non-commercial broadcaster who had a strict mandate to educate and inform (rather than entertain).

They can always hear you.  They can rarely understand you.

Well, that’s an interesting take on it. If I just use a credit card for regular bills, it would be auto-paid, and I’d get cash back or points or something. But this article is about using a card at Joe’s Gas Station, which that plan doesn’t help.

I’ve actually never had a credit card. I’d like to get one and use it, but I’d like one that was automatically paid off each month out of my checking account. And it looks like nobody actually does that, because the banks want the fees and interest from occasionally forgetting to pay off your balance.

Darn, it’s a real film camera.  I was hoping for a digital camera and color printer built into the same form factor.  (The printer, naturally, being the hard part to fit into such a camera.)

Here in Colorado, we have Proposition 112, which would greatly limit oil and gas drilling in the state. All the people talking in the commercials - bipartisan commercials at that - think this is a bad thing, because we’ll lose oil and gas drilling jobs. I think, considering “We Have a Decade to Prevent a Total Climate

6. Reduce corporate taxes (yes, if every penny paid to a living person is taxed at regular or capital gains income, I have less of a concern with corporate tax rates).

Trump has a solution to that problem. Build a wall. A big, beautiful sea wall. And make Mexico China pay for it!

Or they could go through the tape of every game from last season now, point out all the places where this would have been called, and get that data to the teams before the regular season starts. Difficult, but I think it’s possible.
