“When police approached her, the monkeys surrounded the girl, protecting her as one of their own, and attacking an officer as the girl screeched at him”

That’s .... Such a good question. I had to google it again, because my first try told me that there are no HPV tests, and when I reread the article and then the article they linked to, it specifically says they looked at national health surveys, “which included HPV tests”.

The same humans that murder countless innocent people for their religious beliefs, their ethnicity, that sexually assault others, including children, that to this day want to deprive others of human rights simply because they’re different, that abandon their own children and leave them to die in a forest ... I could

Ditto. They’re clearly more empathetic and accepting of others despite their differences, for starters.

I think a few other people have explained the obvious answer to that already. Also, the article states they jumped to protect her from the “threat” of the authorities who tried to take her. Sounds like they were doing a hell of a lot better of a job than her own biological family did.

Ha!

Just more proof that animals are better people than humans.

Wow, that’s pretty fucked up on his part, holy crap.

Well, of course. Bringing healthy children into the world is a woman’s purpose on this earth, after all!

Could be, certainly. I would think, however, that in that case, it would be far more important to stress that men get the vaccine, since they’re more likely to spread it to partners because they don’t even realize they have it at all. But hell, why should the boys have to get the shot when it’s not even hurting them,

A quick google search tells me that there are no screening options for HPV in men, period. Also, there really aren’t any to screen for it in women either - they just screen them for cervical cancer, that’s all. Apparently. Which is pretty shitty all the way around.

I don’t know, but it’s probably the same reasoning that leads them to say things like women are asking to get raped by wearing a short skirt.

I never really understood that kind of logic from parents. If you’re a sane, rational person, you realize that your kid is eventually going to have sex... I’d just be relieved knowing that, whatever happened (because, let’s face it, stuff happens), my kid was unlikely to wind up pregnant and facing one of several

Ah, gotcha. I’m glad it’s working out for them! Also, those kinds of people are sooo nice to be around, especially after a day of dealing with all sorts of miserable jerks.

I’m having trouble even imagining it in a sentence, and I’m really kind of surprised I’d never heard that before.

.... Asparagus Fair? What on earth? You must tell me more.

Yes, I Googled it really quickly to see what Spivak pronouns were, and I believe it mentioned that they were named after the guy who came up with them. And you should watch it if you get a chance! Season 1 was far, far superior. Season 2 was okay. Season 3 I started like a year ago and still haven’t gotten through it

This looks like a live action manifestation of a yeast infection.

No, but they can get throat, penile, and anal cancer.

Starred for “telephone pole up his butt”.
