This is such a lame thing to argue.

This 100% as well as something we used to talk about in college all of the time, the idea that there is a finite amount of everything on Earth. That includes not just natural resources, but freedom, happiness, success, healthcare. If one person is promoted, it means there’s less room for me at the top.
