I am willing to entertain contrary opinions about MMFR, but this post is not grounded in reality.

He had the benefit of working off a strong performance from Jordan. But I'm not going to take anything away from Sly. His work in Creed really is great.

If Mad Max doesn't sweep the technical awards at least, I'm going to get right on here and bloviate impotently.

Smart adults or adults who feel smart by convincing themselves that everyone else is stupid?

Too late. You got us hooked into it.

"people who have no powers whatsoever (in the normal human way, not the Batman way)"

Yay! That means at least 45 minutes of 9/11 imagery! And at least 2:15 of people not smiling! And oh so many lines of dialogue that sound like the actors are reading the back of the DVD case!

"My name is Max, sugar tits. Hey, guess who caused this war we're in. Go on. Guess."

Or at least gone halfway and had the crossbows shoot flowers instead of arrows. Max could get one lodged in his forehead, a la Homer Simpson.

"Bob Ewell poured onto the hump of the ham the sum of all his racism from Adam on down."

I would like to introduce Cormac McCarthy to the conversation.

Cannon Films Ltd presents…

Does everybody at the AV Club look like a member of a hip modern rock band?

I'm going to say they put it in the show as symbolism—something revealing about Jimmy's impulses, plus a microcosm of the episode—but also something they deliberately put in that could be a plot element, should the writers choose to pick up the loose thread later on.

The movie industry's answer to a question no one asked.

How do you think Doc and Marty met? How do you think Doc made all that money? The inheritance thing was obviously a cover story.

"I got some bad ideas in my head, Marty."

What if they include the girl from the original movies? The one with the orange vest. She was hot.
