I'm obviously not very knowledgeable about MH games, so tell me if I'm wrong, but could they not have you start at the beginning of the game and simply cap your playing time at, say, two to three hours and then allow that save data to be transferred over to the full copy of the game? It'd be a pretty big download, but

I've heard this from a lot of people. I'm already bad at action games (I mostly play turn-based RPGs, platformers, and simulation games) so I'm sure the learning curve will be even steeper for me. I'm probably not going to pick up the game right now since I have so much on my plate and have actually made a pact with

Yeah, I figured the main game doesn't throw you in that quickly and, I'm sure once you're ready to face that snowball-making rabbit, that you're more than prepared, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. If I ever want to get back into it, I'll definitely take your advice :) Thanks!

I honestly really like demos in which you start the game and play up to a certain point before not being able to progress any further. Etrian Odyssey has done that with their past two demos, on top of allowing you to transfer the save data from the demo over to the full game, and it's been a much, much better

I thought so, but it did still scare me off. I have so many other games to play that it's hard to justify it right now. I'm glad to hear that the difficulty curve instructions-wise is much gentler in the release though :) thanks for that!

I think in Link's case, since he's reincarnated over and over again, it wouldn't be that difficult to imagine him being reincarnated as a different gender every once and a while. I would personally be fine with it going either way. I think, though, if they want to make Link female, they should just take it to the next

I don't think the demo for MH3 U on either the 3Ds or the Wii U helped any. I tried it on the Wii U, and putting you up against some nasty rabbit that wants to make a snowman out of you without teaching you ANYTHING was, well, not good. I was going to purchase the game, but I don't think I will anymore :/ It's too

Honestly, last year I just stopped reading comments. I had started becoming more focused on that than what was actually going on, so it was myself bringing me down, not other people. I wasn't necessarily "excited" for everything (obviously MS had some issues there), but I wanted to observe in peace, I guess? I dunno,

Always glad to help :)

As long as they don't shoehorn protagonist-driven morality into this one, I'm all good :)

I 100%-ed Colony 6 about a year ago. I'm... not the same person. Beware.

See, that kind of stuff upsets me. Like, okay, I more than understand that you don't like the stuff I like. Honestly, I pretty much understand why no one likes the stuff I like, but to actively go out of your way to ruin someone's excitement for something is... well, really immature and says something very negative

And that's all right as long as you state why in a meaningful way that can lead to thoughtful and civil discourse. Typing "meh" or "this sux" or similar phrases really doesn't communicate that correctly, and that's more the negativity I'm talking about :)

"We're reopening the Year of Luigi, but now calling it... The Year of the Luigi Stare!"

I'm a total cheapstake apparently because someone bought me both my Wii U and MK8, but man, I am loving those online races more than I would have ever expected! All the Mario Karts for everyone

Hey boy you heard me no more next time!

It seems very extreme. Either everyone wants to hateful towards something or they overhype it so much that by the time it comes out, THEN they want to hate it because it didn't live up to their specific expectations. The perfect place to be is genuinely excited for something based off you see, be happy that other

;)

Being excited and overhyping something, I've found, are two very different stages of a baseline emotion. I don't know enough to start making predictions that might not come true, but I do know what I've seen and I can be excited about that :)
