I find it aggravating too! I'm not too far into my Tales adventures, but I can already tell that Vesperia will be my favorite without a doubt, so the fact that I might not play it again makes me sad D: especially since I had to rush the first time.

Every time I think about the fact that the enhanced version of Vesperia hasn't come Stateside and probably never will makes me super sad D: I played it on my ex-boyfriend's 360 a year or two back, but now I want to play it again and explore a lot more, but I'm not buying a 360 just for it hahah.

Yeah, that was weird. I was like, "So why can I even control another character then?" If Shulk was that imperative to combat, they might as well have made it so the player could only play as him. I mean, I guess that you can delegate Shulk to AI but hahahahahahahahah I just said the most illogical thing ever >:(

No problem :) Happy frustrations! Nocturne will definitely make feel that way, but I have a feeling you'll love it!

Your English is great :)

You're most likely right. I would say though that that instead of the Persona games having an "otaku story," they have a story otakus are more likely to like. The storytelling in those games has enough themes and characterization to be independent of otaku fan-fodder, something that "otaku

No problem :) I love getting people into new stuff! If that's the case, I'd probably go for Nocturne. I think Raidou Kuzunoha is a little too different from the "normal" SMT experience to get a taste of what it's like, and that's the only other PS2 SMT game on the PS2 Classics store at the moment (along with P3FES and

Exactly. I do so enjoy watching two entitled parties fight while drinking alcohol and having fun :)

I'm the same way. I've definitely seen the debate come up online though and have always been confused. My summary above is based off of conjecture, not necessarily fact. Seems correct though haha.

I know, right? Everyone's like, "Oh yeah, I do like Dunban and Riki and shit," and I'm like, "HOW?" Maybe I didn't grasp the overall gameplay, but the rest of my team just sat there. One in particular listened to Shulk about not killing Mumkhar and totally detailed his entire character because protagonist >:(

The very basis mechanics are the same across the games. Spells are named the same and work in a sort of rock-paper-scissor fashion just like in Persona. Again, I personally like the Persona series a little more since I think the characters are overall better developed and the social aspects are a lot of fun, but the

I'm in the same boat, though I finished Persona 4 for the... fourth time?... a few months ago. I beat SMT IV once already, but I have a glaring lack of both Raidou and Nocturne in my life. Go for something that strays from the normal formula or condemn myself to the Matador? Questions...

The Persona games are set in their own universe, though the connection between 3 and 4 at the moment seems much stronger than those two's connection to previous games. As for the rest of SMT, they are mostly stand-alone games that use similar assets and turn-based gameplay. Instead of personas, the creatures are most

The opening scene of DDS still sneaks into my dreams sometimes. That transformation, man, that armless Zebra transformation...

Yeah, the AI was a big problem :/ I had my boyfriend at the time beat the final form of the last boss for me, and for a while I felt like I totally copped out, but the more I think about it, it had nothing to do with my skill as a gamer. It was my team hahah. Did you ever stray from Reyn and Sharla? I sure didn't

Nintendogs is a good idea. Thanks!

The tornado dubbed as Monado swept through the Midwest today. People characterized it as whiney, incompetent, and saying its own name a lot.

(Spoilers)

Oh wow. Looks like all those years as an English major did absolutely nothing for my reading comprehension. I guess I should just go Monado myself.

I was going to do this with the Wii U and wait at least until Animal Crossing came out on it (probably a year or two down the line at least), but I got one as a present, so so much for that :) I always feel jealous when someone's picking up an older console for the first time for the same reason. I'm sending a

If you thoroughly explore Xenosaga, that's 100+ hours alone :) I love that game, though some story stuff made me want to Monado my Monado into someone's Monado if you catch my drift.
