I did as well. Mine was several paragraphs, but it only had to be slightly changed to make universal. I dunno if our comments honestly matter anymore, but hopefully they do.

I think from Groen's prior works, he seems to be, for lack of a better term, "good for it." It would hurt his journalistic integrity to not publish the book if the KickStarter is funded; who would want to hire someone freelance who proves he can't get a story done? The guy has obviously been able to sustain himself…
"After talking with printers, editors, and designers I determined that I'll need $12,500 to get this book finished and to print and ship 1000 copies which is the minimum count needed to secure a decent price-per-book from a printer." - from Andrew's Kickstarter page
The only thing he could've done that would've been cooler was reply, "Yes. Are you?"
I thought this at first too, but I've been doing so much portable gaming lately that I found sitting down at a TV for a console experience was actually... nice and relaxing. I had never really felt that way before hahah. I'm sure if the game does decently well it will be ported :)
As one of the 14 people who do own a Vita, I would :)
I personally like him too, but I would not blame anyone for finding him generic either hahah
I had no idea it was on the PS1 until I searched for the image above! What a funny world we live in :D
I find it strange you think it's a male/female issue when really it's a better representation of the game to not specify the gender on the cover. You can play as both, so putting a generic lead on the front could be considered misinformation. (And let's face it, the generic lead never looks all that good for either…
For PS1 RPGs, I'd recommend, let's see... For Final Fantasy, I'd probably start with FFIX. It has a lot of the charm of the older series and a simple but fun battle system. I know many would want you to start with VII, but if you playing on a PSP or a Vita, there's scenes were Cloud gets very small and the environment…
I've wanted to play this forever, but never wanted to either pay the outrageous amount for the original or sit at my computer screen for it. I really hope this is true!
Sound advice, sir; sound advice.
Right, that's why I said if Martin himself says he saw or read the scene beforehand that they'd really no longer be an argument. I guess now pondering it over the most confusing thing here is that people are upset because the book scene to them was consensual instead of upset because the Lannister twin's relationship…
That's interesting to hear, actually. I haven't watched any of the behind-the-scenes or anything, so I didn't know a lot of that information. I personally have a slight beef with the man since he doesn't support fan fiction in the slightest for honestly weak reasons. (I agree that probably 90% of fan fiction posted on…
I think there were "consequences" to Daenerys's rape scene, actually; instead of her anger being cast at Drogo, though, she starts to hate her brother instead. He was the one who placed her in the situation in the first place, not necessarily Drogo. (This, of course, does not make Drogo innocent of the whole affair).…
While I think the book scene was dubious consent at best (I think it can be read both ways, but I personally saw it as non-consent), the scene in the show was definitely rape. For anyone to say otherwise is odd to me.
See, I always saw Daenerys and Drogo's wedding night as non-consensual. This was a 13-year-old girl sold into a marriage by her bat-shit crazy brother and, until she got to know Drogo better, was terrified of him. Even though she eventually said "yes," what other choice did she have? She couldn't deny him, because if…
While I sympathized with Cersei in this scene because no one should be raped, it hasn't changed my opinion for her as a person overall. She's still does horrible things to stay ahead and has no respect for those in situations similar to hers. I never read the book scene as consensual, though the show version could…
I agree that rape is sometimes used to make females "strong" or to break "strong" female characters in media, something that honestly doesn't work most of the time; however, I do find it very interesting that people consider both scenes in the books as consensual. I read both well before the show started and thought…
