So still plenty of drawbacks, even without considering where will the electric come from? And where do the batteries come from & where do they go? And the reason used EVs are cheap is because the very expensive batteries need replaced. Add this all up & it’s easy to see why so many people don’t see EVs as the future.

Don’t see an expensive, overweight, CVT “Mustang” having much appeal. Of course they’ll likely solve the 1st of those problems via socialism - by charging more for the gas versions to recoup loses from discounting the hybrid to a competitive price.
