Sounds like the TC on my 2000 Mustang GT. Thankfully it had an off button. Human throttle control was much better, but there were still times that car was worthless in northern winter.
Just the opposite here. Want sporty small to midsize 2 pedal AWD wagon. Not available! Forced to go with crossover.
V6 AWD & 2 pedals on mine, please! Recently picked up 2010 Miata for when I want 3 pedals. Looking to trade TT roadster on something for when I need more winter traction, more space or going places where I don’t want to deal with the 3rd pedal. Looking to seat 4 adults comfortably or be able to haul home another cool…
Absolutely! Buick did so well because they’re mostly purchased by elderly people. They baby their cars. Don’t drive them hard. And don’t expect as much from cars - particularly with respect to the trouble-prone gadgets & gizmos which they’re less likely to even use.
Wish to add many more stars for this!
Not sure if it’s true, but I’ve heard the same thing. Something about the government fearing that they will be taken hostage.
5th gear.
Yates’ book on the Cannonball explains that the movie as originally conceived was much different than what resulted. And would have been so much better. That’s the version I’d like to see made.
And his “Damn the Torpedoes” column for Boating Magazine was a great read as well. Enjoy Heaven’s victory lane, Mr. Yates.
This should be at the top of the list!
This needs way more stars!
Also makes it clear that this author drives 2 pedals - not 3! I’ve come to find “the auto-creep forward” very annoying since I learned to drive 3 pedals.
Even if you never run a balance, your credit score will be slightly lowered for “large revolving debt”.
My son has a separate card just for his automatic utility payments and another card for other things. Guess which one the bank automatically replaced because it was compromised? And they wouldn’t - or couldn’t -tell him if it was the cable, electric, gas or water that had the breach.
Agree on using credit card & avoiding debit cards. But be aware that even if you never carry a balance, your credit score will be slightly dented for “large revolving debt”.
Worse yet - recently saw in Bottom Line Magazine that some automakers are still using Takata bags!
600 miles in multi lane bumper to bumper traffic at nearly 200 mph is an endurance race!
Nearly all of these I’ve seen on the road are being operated so badly as to be a hazard to all others in the vicinity. I always figured it was just extreme driver inattention & lack of regard by the sort of people who buy this type of vehicle. Perhaps the lack of outward visibility & complex controls that require far…
Congratulations to Kyle Larson! Never been a Keselowski fan, but hats off to him for not turning Larson on that restart & for coming to congratulate him in victory lane.
