Vintage racing > concours - most definitely!

Remember seeing new Camaros & Firebirds with spacesuit silver interiors in the early 80s as well.

The red #1 is the 1967 Foyt/Gurney winner. Pretty sure it belongs to Henry Ford Museum, where it’s usually on display.

Video mentions visor tear-offs as a 2000s thing. I recall my dad using them in the mid ‘70s. Also remember picking them up while walking the rim of dirt tracks after the races as a kid.

As a convertible fan, I’m attracted to the 914. But then I remember all the smug “I’m above you because I have the money for a Porsche” types I’ve met. Naw, terrifying would be to watch some of those sprint car racers lap the McLaren!

Best writing I’ve seen on Jalopnik!

“Watch my driving for me, because I’m too busy with my phone.”

Nice write up. Excellent work on the photos!

Wow! Actual colors! On cars! Not a red, white, black or gray in the lot. Wish other manufacturers would follow the lead.

There was a new Saab parked in Ikea Pittsburgh when the store first opened in the 90s. And Cincinnati’s Tesla store is already in a mall right next to Nordstrom.
