@Capricus: I wouldn't be surprised to see optical drives dropped from all Apple laptops. A lot of people will take issue with it, but I am more than happy without it.

@jayratch: Im in similar circumstances. I am a dental student. I use an iPad to mark up most of my notes, but the iPad is not a full computer. In many cases I needed a real laptop with me. I ditched the 15" Pro for the 13" Air, and I couldn't be happier. Now when I need to I can carry the Air and the iPad, it is still

@Anaphylaxor: I traded in my 15" MB Pro for a 13" MB Air, and I love it. The screen is large enough to be useful (unlike the 11"), the battery lasts over twice as long as the MBP, and it travels much easier.

@Jeremy Camp: Tethering and tethering over wifi are two completely different things. How are you going to connect multiple devices (or even just 1 iPad) to your tethered iPhone connection?

Come on Africa, get with the program!

When I was in Brazil our washing machine was basically a plastic bucket with a spinning post in the middle. There was no safety measures, that's for sure. So it could have been that type of machine.

Who cares about the Beatles on iTunes? Anyone who really cares about the Beatles already owns the albums, and in a higher quality format.

Somehow "yourname@facebook.com" just doesnt seem professional. Put that on your resume and see if yiu get a call back.

@contact112: I don't blame him. Dropbox is pretty much the greatest service ever invented. I had previously gone to great lengths to set up a home web server, but Dropbox has replaced it completely. I use it for just about everything, multiple times daily, across multiple devices. And its free. What can top that?

where is the Macbook Pro supposed to go?

@talkingstove: too true. I often wonder why tech companies don't just give us the hardware they know we want. And Apple is the worst when it comes to that. (how long have we all wanted a mac mini with hdmi out and a bluray drive?). Its like they always want to make something 'really good', without making it too good.

@Odin: Dentists say "the best toothbrush is the one the patient will use." Does that mean a crappy stick with bristles is the best brush on the market? Obviously not. But it's all about compliance. Would I want to take a family photo on an iphone? No way. But to the general public "good enough" is perfect for day to

@talkingstove: dont forget that you already Skype with the ipod touch with any headphones with a mic. I really don't see the ipod touch cannibalizing iphone sales. If anything, it is a gateway drug. Get someone hooked on an ipod touch and you can bet their next cell phone will be an iphone.

You mean like this?

@bustedchain: This ipod should be placed in a time capsule. Kids in 40 years will say "what the hell is this?"

@Badmofo: Nope. The iPhone compresses the video to upload to youtube, no matter what your connection is. I also noticed this with Flickr. Flickr allows unlimited HD video on a pro account, but the iphone app compresses the video before upload.
