If your city is the city I’m picturing (which may or may not be my adopted hometown), I think you’re absolutely correct with that scenario.

While doing genealogy, I discovered that ~7 generations or so back, one of my paternal ancestors’ brother married into my mom’s family. It’s far enough back that it doesn’t matter a ton, but it freaked me out to see on paper that I was “line bred”, lol.
