I agree that this is an appearance of impropriety, but the ethical standard only addresses matters before the court or likely to come before the court.

Might want to rethink that. Many of us here on this site did not think that of Scalia, but many elsewhere did. Including the Senate that confirmed him. (Same Senate that confirmed RBG.)

Why is an opinion about the presidency less or more an issue than an opinion about a matter coming before the court? Here is an editorial about Scalia and his opinions.

Scalia was just as pointed and frequently about cases that were on their way to the court. that said, nobody can show that either Scalia or Ginsburg ever ruled based on anything but the law and Constitution. I am sure those that disagree work either justice will disagree with me, but history bears this out.

I am good with the mandatory retirement age, but not the term limit.

Might want to remind people that Scalia never hesitated to express a political opinion. So there is precedent.

According to the studies you provided, you are atypical of those who maintain this stereotype. In there, many servers said clearly they would do a less than good job in anticipation of a good tip.

Your first and third studies both conclude that part of the problem is the perception or actual poor service given to black patrons because of the stereotype you are clinging to. The Ebony article makes the same points. The first piece starts with quotes from servers that are nothing less than racist.

Please produce your stats. Make sure they are accurate, objective and free of any racial micro-aggressions. One could just as easily say all Jews are cheap or all women drive poorly and back those up with “stats.” However, they are all stereotypes based on race, religion and gender. You are labeling an entire race

Let’s sum up.

Thank you for proving Queen Latifah right. That post is precisely what she was talking about. What difference is the race of the driver? Bypassing the person of color for the white person is racist no matter the race of the driver. And the tipping stereotype? Please.

Well, I am old enough to remember when it came out, so I can see that.bYet the lyrics still work.

Apparently good for moms and dads, too.

Beatles version is the best one in my opinion.

Good for that too I guess.

I get teary too, but in a happy way.

“In My Life” by the Beatles is the only first dance song you will ever need”

“What’s amazing about all this is how tightly Carlson seems to have held it together, right up until the day she declared war on Ailes, and even as she wrote publicly about being sexually harassed and assaulted earlier in her career.”

The state budget says otherwise. Those schools have been fairly constant in funding. The cuts have been at the elementary and secondary levels. Florida has no state income tax because the Florida Constitution prohibits it.

Great. More cancer for women compliments of the religious right and their anti-Gardasil nonsense.
