Haha! I’d be similarly disturbed at the lack of safety pins in my house.

If you woke up as your 15 year old self, what do you think your 15 year old self would think of your current life?
Beautifully written, I really enjoyed this. I'm frankly impressed anyone could fall in love with someone they're trapped in a car with for two weeks. I'd be murderous around day 3.
I’ve never met someone who looks that much like me or a stranger that looks just like someone I know, but I have had instances where people sound just like people I know and it freaks me out. One of the moms at my daughters preschool sounds exactly like my sister in law. It totally freaks me out. And if I close my…
Medication helps stem the compulsions. I really don’t pay much attention to it and I’ll notice that on a certain medication my face will end up much more or much less scarred. There have been times I’ve had to hide my picking tools (like my amazing/ terrible magnifying mirror) but I’m currently in a place where I can…
I feel like a lot of people don’t understand that mental illnesses can cause physical problems.
I struggle with OCD and (mild) Dermatillomania so I can totally see how people do this. When my OCD flares (stress or whatever) I will pick gigantic craters in my face, it’s so awful. I have a lot of scars on my face from places where I’ve picked. It’s a terrible compulsion.
I don’t think it’s blurry at all- psychiatric issues can cause physical pain and other symptoms. Just because your stress causes your nausea and vomiting doesn’t make it less “real,” if you know what I’m saying. I swear to god it’s all neurology.
Yeah I'd like to see a story about all the free shit people fuck shops out of on a daily basis. My husband works at a large chain shop and they give stuff away for free and for massive discounts constantly because people are such assholes.
Mom.... If you were in a German “scheisse” video, you... you’d tell me, right?
EXACTLY!
Bittersweet time for me this year. :( Nothing is better than playoff hockey, except when my goddamn shithead team makes it in. #thefeels
IMAGINE HOW MANY POOR PEOPLE THEY COULD FEED AND HOW MUCH MEDICAL CARE THEY COULD PROVIDE!!!
Thank you! :)
Yes she is definitely sensitive! All her emotions are huge and so is her personality! It’s her best trait but also her most challenging one. I just want to make sure she has the best tools in her coping box and I know I don’t have all the best answers!
It’s funny because she never yells at her teachers (but will do so when her schoolmates try to approach her before going into the classroom) and her teachers tell me that she cries for maybe a minute or so and is perfect for the rest of the day- unless something happens where she’ll get embaressed (like falling on the…
Exactly! I actually said something similar in this thread somewhere. God forbid her husband dies or is injured and she truly needs to work to support herself. Her line of view is so narrowsighted, it relies on a “best case scenerio” that really only benefited a select and privileged group of women in the first place.
That’s all really good info, thank you! Masculine stereotypes seem to dominate everything so it can be hard to understand what’s going on with a girl. I’m definitely going to check out that link!
She’s been in dance twice a week for about a year and a half now and has been in preschool since since the fall. One thing that’s concerned me is that she was initially fine when I’d leave her at preschool and now out of the blue she’s anxious and crying again. We’ve worked pretty hard getting her to understand it’s…
