I’m becoming increasingly sceptical that the Skully is “upcoming”...

WBW has a lovely, very comprehensive list of helmets sorted by shape (as determined by their testers’ opinion). Unfortunately it seems to be useless - I think I read somewhere that they’ve gone by face shape instead of crown shape. Pity, as they’re so knowledgable otherwise and their reviews are very thorough.

Weird. I don’t get how they can make a helmet where your chin rubs the bar if you’re not Jay Leno.

Thanks for that. That’s probably the section that will have the widest relevance.

Who’s putting certain helmets above others?

There’s a company somewhere in Asia who keep promising a commercial version. I think they call it the Altius Scimitar.

Are those riding jeans/jacket/boots?

My experience has been the opposite - I don’t remember the last time I saw riding denim that didn’t have knee armour pockets at least.

You’ve brought up an important point. Kevlar is gradually degraded by moisture, by flexing and by UV light (i.e. sunlight). At some point it won’t be protective any more, but there’s no good way to tell AFAIK. It’s one reason why you’re not supposed to wash riding jeans very often.

What caught my attention most in the video was the clever way the fire extinguisher was mounted to the bike (1:00 mark).

“Do you make gear for women?” is a question all gear manufacturers should be made to answer publicly and comprehensively.

I’m all for more women’s moto clothing, it is very under-represented in the market. But this

How credible are these rumours? Got a link or something? I can’t see it happening myself.

o_O

I think Suzuki just announced a 200cc VanVan...

Also, not a Gixxer, but I always feel compelled to link Antihero’s travels across the country/world on his Panigale: http://antihero-x.com/read-me/

Hence the smiley...

I left my GSXR on the east coast mounted on my grandfather’s garage wall sipping fuel stabilizer, and that’s probably where it will live until the end of days.

Kawasaki just declared they have 12 bikes coming over the next two years, we should see more forced induction things...

I have to disagree, I’ve always found the Vitpilen concept extremely ugly, except the front-quarter view. It’s growing on me though. Just very, very slowly.
