My sister’s 5’4” if memory serves, and she (just) fits on the current GSX-R600 and 750. She’s too short for the Daytona 675 though.

It’s also showing Euro 4 compliance. Maybe that’s just copy-n-paste, or maybe the shotgun exhausts really are just about noise.

Agreed. If there’s a market for the Scrambler then there’s a market for the XSR700.

Apparently this was ridden onto the stage at the same time as the MT-10. Bet that was a bit jarring.

It’s definitely a future classic. One way or another...

Damn! When the teaser came out I was going to suggest it was a naked R1. But other people had suggested it was an electric bike, and that made more sense to me, so I didn’t say anything.

Don’t make Johnny 5 angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.

What I meant is, the 899/959 is already the more rideable bike, and for that reason it’s the bike I’d rather buy even if I had 1299S money. I suspect that Ducati see it differently - that I’d rather have the 1299, simply because it’s bigger.

I was looking forward to this one, but damn, those shotguns ruin it. I notice the video doesn’t exactly have any lingering shots of that side of the bike. Fingers crossed, maybe there’ll be aftermarket mods to go back to underslung exhaust.

Pumpkin spiced lattes and holiday music...

I’m reading elsewhere that to get the ~230hp version you have to get it built to spec by the factory race works team. So it’s not readily available, and not cheap.

Not that I think I can handle a 200+hp bike yet.

Yeah, I know (though didn’t realise the H2 was a tourer).

I think the -14R actually makes more power than the H2? I remember an interview with some Kawasaki people who said that part of the -14R’s purpose was to be the most powerful roadbike available. Or something like that.

...the 2016 version of the Aprilia RSV4RF will come in configurations exceeding TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY FREAKING HORSEPOWER...

Thanks! Digging into Coast-to-Coast now...

Wow! Do you have a blog or Flickr or somewhere you document your travels?

The real question is: will this thing actually be able to pull sales away from the other options in this category

There were rumours going around a while ago that it’s getting a bump to 800cc. And a half-faired touring version.
