I came here to sing the praises of Casey’s. It is, somehow, more expensive than a similarly sized pizza from a nationwide takeout place, and I'm not entirely convinced it is "good," but when Casey's pizza is what sounds good, nothing else will fill the gap.

It's a Playstation exclusive, so I wouldn't hold my breath on those torches and pitchforks.

Any clue on the censorship situation? It’d be downright tragic to start with the Iain Stirling season only to muzzle his outbursts of genuine frustration. I was delighted when the YouTube uploads started going up unadulterated, and I hope they continue regardless of the show’s success or failure on CW.

Never having to buy another Lightning cable is worth quite a bit. Not quite the full price gap, but it’s pretty close.

It also built its entire online gameplay around microtransactions.

Best Buy has an option to be emailed when they're back in stock. They've had them twice since March(?), and both times they were gone within a couple hours.

I'm not denying your experience, but it's so weird how much it varies across the country. For me, every single lost package I've had for the last decade has been FedEx or UPS, usually FedEx. I've taken to just having UPS packages held at the depot so I can just drive the 20 minutes and actually get my package.

You’re so close to being right, but then veer off-course just before you get there. The USPS isn’t a for-profit business, it’s a service. It’s the insistence that it should be a service with the financial responsibilities of a for-profit corporation, but with all of the mechanisms for profit generation purposely

They are very good to their career employees, but due to the financial hardships (largely) forced upon them, they’ve been forced to rely ever more on non-careers, which is most acutely felt during delivery. For the past decade, your delivery person is often poorly compensated and either getting too many hours or not

I was SO glad when the censorship stopped, ESPECIALLY before the song task in the 5th season, which really needs to be heard uncensored for its full absurdity to be appreciated.

It seems to me that just parroting that it has a NVME slot for expandable storage kind of misses a bit of the point. If the main selling point is that it has an absurdly fast SSD which enables the claimed load time voodoo, wouldn’t that imply that popping a slower off-the-shelf SSD would negatively effect performance

The top 100 PS4 games, by play time.

After his delightful turn in Spy, I can only hope Jason Statham's career takes on a similar trajectory once the Fast and Furious spin-offs run their course.

This feels a lot like the first, shitty season of Parks and Rec. There’s a good cast (minus Josh Gad, who remains dollar store Jack Black), but it's so busy trying to be the show it's replacing that it forgets to actually, y'know, be funny. I can only hope that it, like P&R, lasts long enough to find its own voice,

I wonder how it will work with external drives given the huge focus on how fast having a SSD makes loading. I had to ditch the external drive I was using for my original One when I got a One X, because the latter couldn’t run games from the external drive without fucking up cutscenes.

“I’ve seen far too many that play into outsider-enforced cultural stereotypes, exhausting tropes and monolithic conclusions based on, effectively, minimal evidence or exposure. It’s tiresome and really only serves to exoticize and fetishize an entire nation or culture into a segment of television that packages neatly

I'll be honest, I don't completely understand the space one either.

I meant no Ewan McGregor slander. The rest of the prequel trilogy (Liam Neeson excepted) can get fucked, but he is a treasure throughout.

I will not tolerate you slander of “dang.” As a stand-in for “damn,” it can go fuck itself, but as it’s own word? Preferably a little too loud, and with a southern twang? That’s my shit.
