What a strange comment. Supporting one particular position a person takes doesn’t require you to endorse everything else they have done in their lives. It’s not all or nothing.

I have a Master’s in English Lit and CRT is something we would have used to analyze a text. It’s like no one knows what it really is! It’s a tool, a way of looking at the world that is worth considering, like feminist theory or new historicism, etc. Just unbelievable. 

It’s telling that reactionaries are trying to undermine the 1619 Project by attempting to discredit Critical Race Theory, as opposed to... you know... the actual scholarship underpinning the articles.

If I was a high school student looking to do impactful journalism, whatever I might or might not think of the 1619 Project, Hannah-Jones would be a massive draw.  This is a huge loss for UNC, a dumb self-inflicted wound because they just had to get caught up in idiotic culture war bullshit.
