it’s true. I remember this clearly from when I saw it, it’s really disturbing.

I’d love to know who Madonna is going to cast as her hairstylist that got raped on tour with her that we all know about because of the scene where she laughs about it with her backup dancers in an earlier film she made about herself, Truth or Dare.
Yes! Also, I’m that person at parties and happy hours pointing out that Madonna is on film in her own freaking documentary she had made about herself laughing out loud about her hairstylist’s rape...so, yeah.
Pretty sure you can glean a lot about how Michael Moore looks down on rural/red state folks in his first big film Roger and Me, which was about the people in the town he is from...his approach has been very condescending and stereotyping right from the start.
I tried listening to Dax Sheppard’s podcast once - ONCE - and didn’t make it far. He justified a lack of diversity in the media on the “fact” that white people have more empathy for white people because that’s just “biological and evolutionary”...ugh, he just sucks. What a surprise to hear a white man not understand…
Just stopping by to suggest no one give Rob Lowe’s podcast any traffic, he’s gross - case in point: he was on Conan’s podcast in 2020 and described his good friend Clarence Thomas as “a total stud”. I turned the podcast off at that point so can’t speak to other gems he might have uttered, but that one seemed more than…
Not the first time Spike Lee has gone way out of his way to defend men accused of sexual assault - see Mike Tyson
I actually like your review a lot better than I liked the show - though admittedly I turned it off early on. I couldn’t get past his joke about women’s body hair hurting penises...but your take on where he was going with all this is giving me pause...I *might* retry watching.
Yes! And also, this article is basically saying “sure, this likely sexist thing is most likely happening to this woman, but complaining about it isn’t a good look, so she should stop”...pretty disappointing and lame.
Really disappointed with the consumption of single use plastics in Winterfell :(
I liked it! Especially the first three episodes, really thought that relationship could have been explored more. Didn’t notice his thighs, or him looking at the sky, also didn’t notice it was Robb Stark for several episodes, and actually liked his acting. But agree the ending was lame, and the show overall would have…
“and discovering that the hardest working mom in show business is a Scorpio was incredibly edifying”
The amount of single use plastic in that fridge is bonkers.
