I looked that car up and found a much better view of that cage. Looks like I was mistaking the Lexan support bars as structural. Actually looks like a really good build built to NASA American Iron–spec.

What the hell is up with the FOUR roll cage bars in front of the windshield? V8 Supercars have one diagonal bar at most, why does that car need extra things to obstruct vision and smack into?

The way I figure that rappers and celebrities get rare cars is through serendipity or dumb luck. If standard Maybachs are in your driveway often, I could easily see a rep for Maybach mention this rare car that is in town for a car show or something like that.

Considering Europe has models that are just as nice from the factory, I wouldn't really count conversions.
