When I first saw the headline, I thought there was a Broadway show coming. A musical, perhaps.

For pure tedium: crew dresser. I mean, someone had to zip up those uniforms, right? it’s not like anyone ever came out of their quarters saying, “Hey, can you zip me?” Also, who picks up all the crap that gets knocked off of shelves when the Enterprise gets slapped around? All the rooms are always so tidy no matter…
Ridiculous, thinking that Boston can substitute for NYC! What an insult to Boston!
Cool! I think my son had that book. It’s a game developer now, too.
Write code. It’s how I make my living, after all.
Well, that’s another fine mess you’ve gotten me into, Olly.
You have the description for Killjoys in a second time under The Messengers.
This is one that lives fondly in my memory. I recommended to my son, who wasn’t impressed. So now I’m reluctant to pick it up again; don’t want to possibly spoil that memory.
I just started them a couple of weeks ago because of the SyFy adaptation and have been reading them obsessively since.
The Expanse #3: Abaddon’s Gate by James S. A. Corey
Thank you thank you thank you! I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Or should I say, the Chosen one who felt this way. #SeeWhatIDidThere
And the after show for “Fear the Walking Dead” will be “Hear the Walking Dead”, right?
Pretty solid ideas, there!
There is no perception of the Valiant Universe in the general public right now. They’re just not on the public radar yet. My concern is what I think that perception will be - purely speculative on my part - when the planned movies start to come to light.
Yes, you should. You absolutely should. They have been doing a great job of building a cohesive, varied universe. You have “dark and gritty” books like Bloodshot, Shadowman and lighter, more comedic fare like Archer & Armstrong and Quantum & Woody. They also don’t milk a book. They keep the number of titles limited…
The terms above and below “mean” seem particularly applicable.
I hope for that, too. But could they get past the general perception - real or not - that the movies are ripoffs and get the general public out to see them? Not to mention the likelihood of superhero fatigue by the time these would hit theaters.
Oh, Andreas, we miss you so!
Hopefully not TOO soon on The Expanse. I just picked up the first book today. But I’ll read quickly!
So long and thanks for all the dish!
