It’s not just someone else’s project, it’s someone else’s unfinished project. If the supercharger fit, ran well (and had an engine cover), then why would you take it off? This is just an unfinished project that the seller is trying to recoup as much money as possible. Easy No Dice here.

If Nissan wants to come back, it’d be good to start by building a vehicle (any vehicle) people want to buy. Would be a good departure from where they sit today.

Ok, minus one for the flareside, but otherwise this truck is what commenters on this site have been screaming for. Seriously, find an article about any pickup truck and you’ll have a dozen comments about “why can’t we have a small, standard cab, inexpensive truck”... it’s even a manual! Welp, here it is... and cheap.

I’m not a huge fan of so much plastic on this, but I get it. The thing I cannot get however is a CVT for off-roading. I mean, I’m pretty sure most off-roaders haven’t been thinking, “If only I could just get more play and rubbery effect from my drivetrain!”

Nothing, absolutely nothing.

This is obviously going to fail miserably in this poll... but the real question is will this seller get the asking price? Thing is... he just might.  Nobody that “needs” a C8 right now is reading this site, but that person exists.

Ok, obviously a lot of work to make this a show car, and there are parts that are simply amazing. Trouble is, one glance and it makes a new BMW M4 look good. Why on God’s earth would you go through all this work and paint it (and panel it) to look as bad as humanly possible?

I have one as well... too bad no number plaque though, that would have been fun.

Something I didn’t care about before: the back-up camera. The wide angle view at the far read end of the car, I can actually see around other cars easier than if I’m pulling forward. Also, my car has that cross traffic warning, so it’ll beep if a car is coming I can’t see. This actually makes it easier for me to see

My ultra scientific analysis: Gated manual = nice price.

I really like this. Normally I list most of a Torch idea and then somewhere I feel it’s gone over to fantasy-land. (Not that I mind, we need that these days). This one is just plain solid. Easy to follow, useful for consumers, simple to implement. Nice work.

I think these are cool, but I wish they matched. That is, both with concentric circles or both divided horizontally.

It is what it is. You could lecture if you want, but nobody will listen to you. (well, ok readers on this site might, but you aren’t changing a few hundred million people’s buying preferences). The author accurately reflects the opinion of the market. No AWD is a negative here, period.

For the record, I agree with

So the seller thinks that his $10k - $12k Slingshot is worth $17,500 because he put questionable additions on it?

once again, why people think customizing a ride makes it more valuable is beyond me. I have a tuned car, and I love it. It isn’t worth more because of it, (in many cases it’s now worth less).

I see where you are coming from, but for me, symmetry is more important.

And I admit, that’s a good enough reason!

Yes. This is an awful look.

If vehicle-to-vehicle communications ever get anywhere (and standardized), this could be information shared to the car in motion. Sure, doesn’t help a car without it, but if we are talking about future state sensors/systems anyway, this could be a part of it.

Not knocking any one of the suggestions, but 5 hatchbacks (the escape being a slightly lifted one)? I love a hatchback, and definitely the logical choice here... but a little bummed nobody threw out something different. (Again, I realize the 175" length is going to make the pool of contenders small, I just thought

I disagree with the lower door plastic molding. I think it looks better with it on there... simply because the front and read bumpers wrap around and are so low. Without the molding on the doors the lines are broken up and it feels uneven or just off. Obviously this is just my take, and if you like it better without
